Pinellas County chiropractor offers free care to first responders, heath care workers – ABC Action News

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla.– Some people can simply feel the stress of the pandemic all the method down to their bones.

Darlene is a retired law enforcement officer and current flight attendant. She knew it was time to get her back broken, prior to her persistence cracked.

PINELLAS NEWS|The latest headlines from Pinellas County “I started feeling some stress, I stated,'well it's time to begin taking care of me, I require to make my way back into the chiropractic physician, physical therapy, take care of myself first,' so I can look after my family,” said Darlene.

Dr. Richard Tantillo, with Alexander Spine Center, stated you can throw your body out of positioning from several methods, including handling a pandemic.

“Emotional tension, physical tension, both can manifest itself in the exact same method, joint discomfort, neck pain, low back pain, mid-back discomfort, headaches,” said Tantillo.

So Alexander Spine Center is offering free chiropractic care to all Pinellas County initially responders between now and the end of June.

“Each one of those first responders is out on that front line and doing what they are supposed to be doing and we simply ensure we keep them going,” said Tantillo.

Alexander Spine Center stated medical professionals, nurses, police officers and firefighters have a lot weight on their shoulders, physically and figuratively. It's an honor to make certain those shoulders remain strong.

“It's difficult enough to do their job and then compliment that with having some issue where it makes the task hard because of their discomfort,” said Tantillo.

When it comes to Darlene, she encourages all first responders to benefit from the relief she is currently feeling. She stated it's OK to take time out for your own well being.

“People around you, whether they are your patients, your clients, your consumers, they are additional stressed and you are trying to help them with their tension so at the end of the day you bring home everyone's tension,” stated Darlene.
