LANSING (WJRT) (6/15/2020) – Michigan passed a turning point with 60,000 coronavirus cases reported Monday, but the development of cases and deaths was the most affordable since March.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported less than 100 recently confirmed coronavirus cases on Monday for the very first time in more than 3 months. March 8 was the last day with a double-digit increase.
The 78 validated cases on Monday pressed the statewide overall to 60,064.
Michigan also reported fewer than 10 deaths statewide credited to coronavirus on Monday for the 3rd time in 4 days. The 2 deaths reported Monday push the state's total to 5,772.
Almost 3,000 more validated coronavirus clients in Michigan were listed as recovered over the weekend for an overall of 44,964. That represents 75% of all confirmed clients who have actually recovered.
State health officials think about coronavirus patients who make it through 30 days past the start of signs as recovered. So the patients listed as recuperated over the weekend reported symptoms starting before May 12.
Mid-Michigan mirrored the ongoing pattern of sluggish coronavirus development on Monday and over the weekend.
After reporting no brand-new coronavirus cases on Friday, the Genesee County Health Department reported 6 cases Saturday and one each on Sunday and Monday.
Just three deaths were reported over those three days.
The Saginaw County Health Department reported twice as lots of validated coronavirus patients recovered than the number identified from Saturday through Monday.
There were 12 new cases validated in the county and 24 clients recuperated over those 3 days. Just 2 deaths were credited to coronavirus in Saginaw County because Friday.
Midland County had the 2nd highest boost in validated coronavirus cases in Mid-Michigan over the weekend with six.
