Former Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder and state Treasurer Andy Dillon aren't exempt from affirming in a putative class action over the Flint water crisis during their certified immunity appeal, because certified resistance does not eliminate discovery completely, the Sixth Circuit ruled Tuesday.
Snyder, Dillon, and other authorities are accused of either producing, overlooking, or covering the crisis that occurred after the city switched to the Flint River as its sole source of water, leading to a Legionnaire's break out and exposing citizens to lead, according to the suit.
