Flint restores water service to 500+ homes throughout COVID-19 pandemic – Michigan Radio

15June 2020

Over the past three months Flint has actually brought back water service to hundreds of houses. Mayor Sheldon Neeley bought the city to begin reconnecting water service to occupied houses on March 12, a few weeks before Governor Gretchen Whitmer bought all Michigan cities to end water shutoffs and restore service. The city declares it has restored water service to more than 500

homes since then. City officials stress those getting reconnected to the system needs to still spend for the water they utilize. Flint and Genesee County are among the parts of Michigan hardest struck by the coronavirus pandemic. Access to clean water for hand washing is viewed as a key to preventing

the spread of the disease.Source: michiganradio.org
