FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) – (9/15/2020) -The search for a man believed of eliminating two individuals in Flint has expanded throughout the nation.
Flint Police think a 48-year-old guy shot and eliminated a couple just after midnight this morning.
The 28-year-old male and his 25-year-old sweetheart, both of Flint, were discovered on Ballenger Highway, near Beecher Road.
Chief Terence Green said the woman's mom was dating the 48-year-old individual of interest.
She is complying with private investigators.
It's not clear why the couple went to the guy's home on Ballenger Highway last night, how long they existed or what type of interaction, if any, took place between them.
However, Chief Green thinks the man shot and eliminated them while the 2 were escaping from him.
The thought shooter has not been caught.
It appears he may be a number of hundred miles beyond Michigan.
ABC12 ′ s sister station in Lawton, Oklahoma shared this radio traffic heard over their cops scanners Tuesday: “All units watch for a double homicide suspect from Flint, Michigan. He is thought about to be equipped and harmful.”
The dispatcher also stated he might have been last seen in Arkansas.
“Two young people, simply another event of senseless violence. They were unarmed, appear to be unarmed,” Chief Green said. “There's no great reason behind it, it's simply ridiculous violence and it's becoming a theme. And it's– generally the neighborhood's sick and tired of it.”
Chief Green stated getting unlawful guns off the street is a concern.
A special investigative system has been developed to deal with that, plus the City will have a gun buyback quickly.
“Any illegal firearm we seize, I consider it a life conserved,” he included.
If you have any info about the 48-year-old's location, you're advised to call authorities or Crime Stoppers. You can stay anonymous.
